Отличия топовых движков GM LS (LSA, LS9)

Если ты свапер, дрифтер, или просто сочувствующий, то ты наверняка слышал про двигатели серии GM LS. Существует множество вариаций атмосферных LS-ов, плюс несколько — компрессорных. Если говорить точнее, то последних аж три штуки — LSA, LS9 и LSX (кто-то заметит, что LSX изначально не компрессорный, и он будет прав, но 1) чарджерные встречаются больно часто и 2) некоторые, бывает, ошибочно называют LSA LSX-ом, поэтому включим его в статью, чтобы никто не сомневался в том, что это разные движки). Несмотря на схожую «базу», местами эти движки друг от друга фундаментально отличаются.

Самый простой из них — это, пожалуй, LSA. Его по стоку ставили, например, в Cadillac CTS-V, а также в Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Мощность его составляет 556 лошадиных сил (причем американских — их чуть лучше кормят, чем наши P.S.). Устанавливаемый в Corvette ZR1 LS9 — уже немножко другой зверь, несмотря на аналогичный рабочий объем (6,2 литра). Начнем с того, что в нем уже почти 640 сил, то есть мощность шагнула вверх на 80 единиц по сравнению с LSA (благодаря более производительному чарджеру — 2,3 литра вместо 1,9 — двойному интеркулеру вместо одинарного, а также сдвинутой на 400 оборотов вверх отсечке). Из других прикольных отличий — выпускные коллекторы из нержи (вместо чугуния), впускные клапаны из титана, полые выпускные клапаны, а также титановые шатуны (у LSA они из порошкового металла, хоть это тоже кованина).

А вот LSX — вообще особого плана движ. По заводу ни одна машина, выпущенная концерном GM, не оснащалась мотором с индексом LSX в стоке, поскольку это — гоночный движок (т.н. crate engine), который допускает достаточно широкую степень кастомизации. Так, он доступен в разнообразных вариантах рабочего объема (от 6 до 8,4 литров). Между прочим, блок тут, в отличие от других LS, не люминиевый, а чугунный — кондовый, бронебойный. И в блоке предусмотрены два дополнительных ряда отверстий для шпилек крепления каждой «головы», не говоря уже о том, что сам блок теоретически способен выдержать до 2500 лошадиных сил.

Наверное, пора остановиться, а то и так уже много букв получилось, притом что мы только ногтем царапнули самую-самую вершину айсберга — так-то мир этих движков богат и разнообразен (да что там мир, это целая вселенная)). Такие вот американские пироги!
